I have used Parishes Bridge Practice for many years and always been satisfied with the treatment I have received, although I must say I find having to wait some times 3 weeks to see a particular Dr frustrating, you can always get an emergency appointment if really necessary! But this lady Dr Parameswaran I found exceptional, not only has she got a very pleasant and caring manner her skill in diagnosing and treating my serious chest infection amazing, at the time I made my visit to the practice I felt so ill and was at a very low ebb but am now perfectly well, many thanks once again, we could do with more Doctors like her in the NHS.
My mother is 88-years old various medical issues.
Both my parents have been registered with Parishes Bridge for many years. While it is true that many of the staff and doctors associated with the practice are well-meaning, it is also the case that they have both had cause for complaint on several occasions in the past, concerning issues suuronding our general health.
Being elderly, and suffering the consequences of several TIA’s over the last 4 years, my mothers health is a constantly evolving saga, and, in my opinion, she is not being dealt with appropriately. I remain of the opinion that the practice is poorly run, and in many ways not fit for purpose.
The practice manager remains elusive, it is very difficult to establish a rapport with just one doctor, the phone lines are permanently engaged, and I feel that some of the advice given is questionable, to say the least.
Overall, Parishes Bridge is a sad indictment on the parlours state of many NHS practices today, and, if we weren’t so advanced in years, we would consider changing practices.
As a family, we will still seriously consider complaining to the BMA and the CQC, pending the outcome of my mother’s current complaint.
I cannot thank the team enough for my recent experiences at the surgery . Great service and wonderful doctors, thank you for looking after me and enabling my recovery .
I was only phoning the surgery to chase where my repeat prescription was after over a week and after the usual "being held in a queue" message was expecting to get little satisfaction but was answered my a very friendly and extremely helpful receptionist (Joanne) who took the time to listen to the problem and then explain the rather complicated repeat prescription process for the various, different medications that I'm taking. Her comprehensive explanation helped me understand the process involved so that I can use the repeat medication process such that I neither run out or have too much of any of the medicines. No one up to this point had ever explained to me the differing processes for reordering a number of different repeat medications
. As a result my very helpful receptionist who showed compassion towards me as a patient and also a desire to be as helpful as possible I came away very relieved and happy. Very well done
I hope it will always be the helpfully friendly receptionist.

Having the need of regular doctor appointments and frequently being held on hold on the phone for 20 mins or more only to be told no appointments are available, phone back I must say it was an absolute delight to to be connected to a receptionist on the phone a couple of days ago who was so polite and friendly and who went out of her way to listen to my problems and identify a way forward which addressed my concerns and whilst there were no regular GP appointments available she managed, by spending a bit more time, to get a GP telephone call to me within the hour which addressed the issue.
I found her friendliness, clear desire to help me and obvious care about me so encouraging I almost felt better instantly (less pain) just because of the caring way she treated me. It was real pleasure and demonstration of proper patient caring. Well done! Let's have more of it.
